I was cooking the lunch and blog-hopping this morning as I had an idea for a card to enter in this week's Cas-ology challenge.
I was thinking about those arrows you get over a map, showing a journey - you know, like in the Indiana Jones films.
Problem was the colour choice, and that's when I came across The Colour Throwdown challenge.
Well, after lunch I found some time to put it all together. Here's my card
For the map background I recycled a piece of card from a free stamp set. I've used purple cs for my mats (not sure if it's Orchid Opulence, but it sure is close in real life). The arrows are brads, may be a little dark for Pistachio Pudding, but I hope it's not too far away- it was too good a chance to miss using them. I stamped the plane image, heat embossed it and cut it out, before using dimensionals to make it pop up. The sentiment is stamped in Brown Sugar- isn't it great-really made me think. Both the plane and the sentiment are stamps which were free with a magazine. Back to make some more cards, this time for my DT samples. Be back on Wednesday.
Louise, this is a really great card! I love anything travel/destination!
