Daisies and Dots

Good Morning!  I made my card at 7.45 this morning- yes I was that keen!  You know what it's like when you're lying in bed with an idea in your head that won't go away, so as soon as the boys were on their way to school I crafted.
I have combined two challenges again.  Using the sketch from Seize The Birthday

and the colours from Dynamic Duos
I made a feminine birthday card (this week's challenge at Seize The Birthday). I don't have the exact Stampin' Up shades of pink but I just used one dark and one light shade for my stamping, I had originally planned to use DP but in the end stamped directly onto the card to keep to the colours

Stamps used: Decorate a Daisy and Happiest Birthday Wishes
Embossing Folder - Swiss Dots ( freebie from a magazine)
Pink and white twine

Dynamic Duo Green and Orange

I am not at home at the moment, so crafting is a bit more difficult than normal, but I thought I would still have a go at one or two of the challenge blogs.  This is my first offering - it's for Dymamic Duos colour challenge - orange and green.

I stamped the green leaf image from SU's French Foliage set first and then added a punched daisy flower to each one. I put a little orange rhinestone for the centre of the flowers. Then I stamped and coloured the leaf from another SU set, Paisley Petals, and coloured it using Promarkers.  I stamped the flower from the same set onto orange cardstock and heat embossed it to make the definition on the flower stand out and then snipped these two images out to combine them and pop them up with dimensionals. I edged the card with my Pear Pizazz Stampwrite marker and the paper twine and little leaf and flower tag finishes the job!
I have to admit that I'm really into watching the Olympics, and was in London yesterday to see the Ladies' Marathon...wow, they are amazing, but, watching them, I think I'll stick to crafting!

Jubilee?

This card may look like a Jubilee card but it's actually for my sister-in-law, who is celebrating a big birthday next week (no prizes for guessing which one!).  She lives in the Netherlands so I thought she would like a bit of British cheer for her special day. I used Real Red and Indigo Island to ink the panel and then stamped and embossed the London images when the panel was dry. I made the bunting using Pennant Parade stamps and punch combo. The twine is from my stash and is a bit 'hairy' but I think it does the job nicely. The sentiment is also Stampin' Up- Outline Occasions.  The border is washi tape, something which I recently discovered whilst blog-hopping.

I would like to enter my card in Dynamic Duos challenge and the one stop craft challenge this week. I hope that you all have a fabulous time celebrating the Jubilee and that your street party or fete is not washed out!

Blue, Blue Christmas

Today I have had time to look at a few challenges and the first one to catch my eye was at 52 {Christmas} card Throwdown where they asked for Christmas cards with embossing, dry or heat. I embossed Whisper White card with snowflakes and made the scalloped edges with my new Stampin Up edgelits die. Do you like the snowman ribbon?  He's cute isn't he? I made the medallion with  the snowflake from SU's  Season of Joy set, stamped in Adirondack Snow Cap and heat embossed with Snowflake powder -can you see the glittery detail.
The sentiment was also from this set, stamped on Whisper White in Bashful Blue. I have decorated the envelope with a matching snowflake medallion. The colour scheme fits in with the Dynamic Duos challenge too. I love the cool, wintery feel of this card, especially after the weather we've been enjoying and it gt an Honorable Mention too!
