New Home Colour Challenge

My daughter is just finished her second year at Loughborough University and it's that time of year when students move out of their old house/halls and into new digs so a New Home card was called for. Luckily this coincided nicely with the new colour challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches

I used the cloud embossing folder and a single house cut out from a row of houses from a Tim Holtz die. The DP is from Stampin' Up and I stamped the greeting using an alphabet set and my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig (such a useful bit of kit!). The two little punched hearts come from the Owl Punch.

Along The Fence

I have handed over my hostess hat to Jacqueline for the month of April at CAS Colours and Sketches and she is starting us off with three fab colours

Love this combination. Don't worry if you don't have Stampin' Up colours, just use the nearest shade you do have.  This time, I took my inspiration from a card I saw on FB, it was only possible because I was able to borrow the Hardwood background stamp from the lovely Jacqueline, as I don't own it....yet!

The flowers, which I fussy cut, are from Vintage Vogue and the leaves are from Stippled Blossoms.  I used the cloud embossing folder, also from Stampin' Up. It may be a little to fussy for your taste in CAS, but it will pass for me.

Tumbling Leaves

Lots of you out there have already discovered the card sketch challenges at Mojo Monday but it wasn't until yesterday that I visited their blog for the first time and immediately became a follower! So, I'm entering in my first Mojo Monday sketch challenge, and I'm certain it won't be my last.  Here is this week's sketch
I've also used a little bit of inspiration from the DT over at Addicted To CAS, as I loved their cue word
So, here's my card
I usually make square cards, but I have been playing around with other formats recently and I though this sketch would look best kept in it's original rectangular form. You can't see so well but the circle is embossed with Stampn' Up's cloud embossing folder. The leaves, which re the most gorgeous stickers I've ever seen, are 'tumbling' down on the acetate banner, which I've edged with red glitter. The dotty theme of the clouds is picked up by the DP and the red twine bow complements the autumn feel.  The sentiment was the hardest decision, as I didn't want anything too big to detract from my acetate banner, so I finally chose the small Thank U from Pennant Parade
