Christmas Wishes

Happy Saturday! At 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown we have a colour challenge this week, which gives me another chance to get out my new Christmas stamp, Ornamental Pine. I chose to use silver with the red and green, mostly because I own silver ink.

I made two cards, one rectangular and one square, and I am sorry about the shadow on the photographs. On both the ornament and pine cones are stamped, cut out and popped up on foam pads.

I masked off the central strip while stamping the pine branch, then stamped the sentiment in silver and hand drawing the red border lines.

Not sure which one I prefer, here they are together.

  1. Louise - I think they are both fabulous! I love the way both have a similar layout but slightly different colours - great work and lovely take on the challenge!

  4. Oh Louise, both of these are wonderful! Love your stamping and your popped up elements. My favourite is the square, but Ionly because 'm rather partial to square cards myself :D Hugs, Gill xx

  5. Both of these are elegant and lovely! I prefer the ornament card with its extra pop of red. Now I'm thinking I might "need" that stamp set, rather than just want it... ;)
