Luckily, I had the inspiration from Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge to work with too this morning, Christmas greenery- well you can't get much more Christmas greenery than holly and ivy. The pearls are the mistletoe berries. When I looked in my stash I didn't have any white pearls left, so I've used very pale green ones. The mistletoe image is from Easy Events and the DP is Holly Berry Bouquet (I think!). I made the red card base from Real Red card stock.

Christmas Greenery with pearls
It's week 4 at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown and that means it's an embellishment challenge. Jacqueline has chosen pearls and/or sequins for us to play with this time and on the blog you will see that the girls over there on the DT have really come up with some fab ideas to help you get started (as if you need any help!). Unfortunately, I think I've just run out of steam. This is the best I could come up with ....

This is beautiful, Louise! LOVE the little pearl accents--I think the green looks so elegant! A fabulous creation! :)
ReplyDeleteI think this is just lovely Louise. That was some of my favorite Christmas DSP. In fact I think I probably still have some to dig out and use again. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs D
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely Christmas greenery card Louise and a fab use of the pretty pale green pearls! A very traditional colour combo but a contemporary feel - you did a wonderful job! Run out of steam? - nonsense! ; )
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a great weekend! Ruth x
A great card Louise, and your mistletoe berries are fab

The pearls do a wonderful job of accenting the simple mistletoe image. This card does *not* show that you're feeling burned out! (I know that feeling very well myself.)
ReplyDeleteI love a bit of greenery on a Christmas card Louise and this three panel layout is perfect! It looks as if there's plenty of steam going on even if you feel you've run out of it! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you've used the pearls as the mistletoe berries - just lovely! And I do like the traditional colours you've used. Fab card.
ReplyDeleteOh, how beautiful, Louise!
ReplyDeleteGreat, how you've embellished the mistletoe berries with those pearls! That looks very well!
