And here is my card - in front of my Christmas tree, which will be gone by the end of today :(

Robin Redbreast
Welcome back to a whole new year of Christmas challenges from 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. We have a weekly challenge, including sketches, colours, themes, recipes, embellishments, techniques and, occasionally, anything goes (as long as it's Christmas!). January challenges have been set by the very talented Ruth. Our first challenge is a sketch
I stamped the Holly border twice onto some Naturals White card stock and matted it onto some DP, after tying some red twine around. It looks a bit like a present! The little robin is stamped and then punched out after colouring with Promarkers. I love the way you can add his little legs now that a stamp is available to match the bird punch. I picked up the green from the holly image as a background for him and stamped the sentiment from the same set as the holly - Christmas Blessings from Stampin' Up. I have entered this card into the weekly challenge at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge Blog, where, for this week Santa has gone into hiding after his busiest time of the year and so any Christmas card WITHOUT Santa is welcome.

ReplyDeleteLove your card (have got the 52 cards challenge on my list!) - thanks for entering my CHNC challenge 106 - you could also add this to my new CHNC challenge extra for January - I'd love to see it there too. x
ReplyDeleteLouise, this is gorgeous! I LOVE where you photographed this card, too! ;) The bird is amazing and I adore your holly border flanking the bow! HUGS to you and yours and happy new year! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you've made that bird Louise and your holly border is perfect. Great card! My tree and decorations are coming down tonight.
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering my CHNC challenge extra for January x
ReplyDeleteLouise this is gorgeous, I live the holly stamps and the red twine. And how sad it is that the trees are now down! Still you can keep the magic going with this challenge!
ReplyDeleteOh, Louise, that robin redbreast is adorable - and the holly background is so lovely! Thank you so much for making such a fab card for my sketch layout challenge, having not ever designed a sketch before I was a tad nervous but I'm so enjoying looking at everyone's creations!
