Some of you will recognise SU's Lovely As A Tree stamp at work again here, but this time I've coloured it using mica powders, trying to get a frosty look using silver and green.
To keep with the glitz of the title I matted the image onto green mirri card and then silver glitter card. I made a matching sentiment, heat embossing the sentiment from Sassy Salutations in silver. After a few experimentations I decided that the whole thing looked much better on a black cardstock base. I am also going to enter this card in the Frosty Winter challenge at The Cupboard Trilogy challenge Blog.
This will have to be a quick post as I've so much to do..shopping, wrapping, opening the Advent calendar..
What a fabby look you got on your trees by using mica powders Louise, a great effect! I love the dramatic colour combo with a dash of sparkle!

Hi Louise - that effect of the silver and green on the trees is just marvelous! Such a beautiful card and you definitely achieved the chilly effect as I want to wrap up in a blanket by the fire when I look at it. Hugs D
ReplyDeleteLouise, I LOVE the amazing metallic tones with the dark and green! This is just beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic effect on those trees Louise & great card
ReplyDeleteYou asked if you would be able to join in a 2nd time?? You may enter another 2 times, but they must be a scrapbook page or anything else except a card or page! In other words, only 1 entry per genre, I hope that makes sense :)
Thank you for joining us over on The Cupboard Trilogy challenges & good luck
