A new month and a new sketch at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, this time designed by Jacqueline. Do pop over to the blog and have a look at the cards created by the rest of the team, they all have such fabulous ideas and, much more excitingly, there is a fantastic prize in October for the overall Monthly winner, kindly donated by our sponsor Alota Rubber Stamps. Each week our very talented and creative guest DT member Birgit with showcase the stamp that can be won.
I was quite excited when I saw this week's challenge myself as I love designs with circles.I decided not to play around with it too much, and actually came up with two versions of the same card. You could easily make a whole set as they don't take long to make at all, if you do all the die cutting in advance they take less than 5 minutes each to assemble (always good if you've got a lot to do!). Here they are
The copper card uses copper foil, which I die cut the circles and then embossed, the silver card is just silver mirri board so I've got a metallic thing going on here. I embossed with a snowflake design, but they look very effective with polka dots, stars, any texture! I used black card blanks and stamped my snowflake image onto them to make a background using Adirondack Snowcap ink. The sentiments are peel-offs.
The silver one I am entering in this week's Less is More challenge where it is week 88 - a colour challenge and the colour is silver.
JUst GORgeous! FABulous colours. This is one awesome design....LOve it.
