Spots and Stripes

Hey! It's holiday time! Hopefully this will mean more crafting time for me and I started well by making a few cards for the up and coming challenges at The Male Room so that I can schedule them while I'm on holiday and not miss a week!
I started with this one

I just love this one! So easy to crate masculine projects using spots and stripes. I changed my mind several times before going with ties...

I chose a stripy DP and covered the card base before cutting the aperture. Then I stamped the ties from Best Dad Ever in Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow and a berry red and cut them out. I positioned them in the aperture, centrally, the middle one is popped up on foam pads. Using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig I could position the greeting.

When the card is opened the ties are inside.

  1. Louise, I love, love this card. I think the diecut front revealing the ties inside is just fab. Love the little tiepin on the middle tie. xxx

I have to tell you that I woke up yesterday with plans to use my ties set and then saw your fab card - so had a rethink! Great minds and all that.

  2. Hallo Louise
I am GDT this Month and happy to be on the same challenge blog with you
your card is so creative with that opening and the inside is cute tie for man..
lovely color combo and I love the idea using stripes and dots for the tie
    great DT card
see you on my GDT card Louise
will be so happy if you give me encouragement..
    hugs, Monika

  3. My husband would wear everyone of those ties, Louise!! What a fun card!

  4. Such a great take on the spots and stripes theme, I'm sure all men have them in their wardrobe! Love the little surprise of the frame opening up like a door.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I love reading them all!
