Silent Night

First challenge of July at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown and so it's a sketch challenge -a nice and simple one for you.

Sometimes I find when a sketch is simple it actually becomes harder to do! I ended up rotating the sketch, have a look..
I could then get more of the lovely DP on show, which I had layered onto silver mirriboard. The image is a Michael Powell stamp, but I have trimmed it to the portrait size, I thought the tall steeple lent itself to this. I have used my Promarkers to colour in the image and added some glitter highlights.  No sentiment as I think it's quite obvious it's a Christmas card, but 5 little gems to add balance

  1. Absolutely gorgeous! I do like the image - perfect for Christmas. I can see why you wanted to show the paper - it's lovely!

  2. Very beautiful Louise - Jacqueline xx

  3. This is such a peaceful scene, Louise! I adore the gorgeous colors--so deep and rich! HUGS and hope you have a great rest of the weekend! :)

  4. Fabulous card Louise, I love the rich, deep blue and the sparkly highlights on the wonderful image! Hope you're enjoying the weekend - yay, summer has arrived! Ruth x

  5. The paisley paper makes a pretty background for that darling village scene! Very nice, Louise! :)

  6. I love how you rotated that sketch Louise. The village scene is just wonderful - as is the deep rich blue background.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I love reading them all!
