Duck Pond

OK, so I got a bit carried away with the pond theme! Still, I thought I would share this one with you and the DT over at CASology.
This is the card I started with, but the idea for the lily pad took over (see earlier post).  Later I went back to my craft table and rediscovered the little duck and the 'pond' I'd made.  I decided to finish the card and I'm happy that I did, it's a cute one, don't you think? The stamp is from an SU set called Easy Events, and I cut out the duck and umbrella after colouring with my Promarkers.  The trickiest bit was masking the stamp to get the sentiment on it's own at the top.  Finally I added a paper twine bow and a scored frame.

  1. Oh how sweet, fantastic baby card, love the CAS style. Thank you so much for joining us this week at CASology!

  2. I love this one too! Beautifully sweet colors!

  3. Beautiful, simple baby card! Thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week!

  4. VERY cute! :) Such a sweet scene and that little duck is adorable! Thanks for joining us again this week at CASology! :)

  5. Oh, this is really cute, love the duck pond and scored border!

  6. Wow, Louise - I loved the pond/dragonflies in your last post but this is sheer CAS genius! I love the little duck (this is the best card I've seen using it) and your placement of the bow is perfect. Vicky x

PS. About the sentiment, I separated the images and sentiments from my wood mount Easy Events set to make them more versatile. Don't know how well this would work in clear mount though.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I love reading them all!
